Never mind oll this stuff about politics and the upcoming election, I think what we all want to know is which is best?

Obviosly I understand that you might like both equally.

Cold mouth-size Melton Mowbrays

Both equally scrumptious

when I used to partake in the consumption of animals it was always the scotch egg. It reigned supreme.

Well Scotch Eggs seem to be pretty well all the same to me, but Pork Pies vary like hell.

http://www.birdsbakery.com make the best Pork Pies in the world as far as I'm concerned, one of the very few things I miss about not living in Derby anymore

cheers, Tim

Well I love Scotch Eggs but you can't beat a good Pork Pie and they can't be brought in a supermarket. They need to have a good crisp pastry, and a filling made with good quality pork with just the right amount of fat, perfectly seasoned with black pepper and a few other spices, with a very lightly seasoned jelly.(Nearest with to a pie I could find) I feel a cooking session coming on.
