Unhappy 300 Disco Clutch

Hi All,
Lost all pressure on the clutch pedal, but did not loose any fluid. Serviced both master and slave cylinder and hydraulic pressure now ok. The only problem now is the pedal only travels 75% and feel as if it pushing against a mechanical stop and cannot change gear either. removed the slave cylinder to check the push rod was inserted correctly and all seems ok....... any suggestions?

thanks for any help
