Default Key - battery exchange

May be this is a silly question, but how do I open the key (central locking remote control) for my Disco II 2000?
The key have two buttons and is different from the Range Rover key.

I don´t like to break something on the key, and it is not obvious to me how to open it.

Default Perfec !

Thank you, OldFart!

Changing battery is part of 40 000 km service at Land Rover (Volvo) in Norway. I guess they would charge £20 for this.

I had my Disco II on 20 000 service last week and had to pay almost £ 650 for this. Gave me headache! Also had to pay more than £70 to replace 2 lightbulbs on the rear lights. Therefore I have send them a letter.

Really appreciate the help and the advices you guys are sharing on this forum.

That seems a very excessive amount for fixing rear lights, dunno about the service though as Norwegian mechanics may have higher rate of pay per hour in labour costs than here in UK, seems the sooner you learn how to do these things yourself then the sooner you have money to spare for your new hobby
I didnt realise you had a Disco as well, is it a nice diesel

Default Disco II

Hi OldFart,

I am very satisfied with the Disco II. Bought it nearly two years ago, used. Had 8000 miles on the clock.

Brought back the Series II with this one. Strong engine, but had to work on Norwegian West Coast roads.

Will post pics of my Series when ready.

Regards,
Jorn
